When did you get started with fitness?
I was an athlete most of my life but my second pregnancy was very high risk and I was put on bedrest and a ton of medications. I put on a ton of weight during the pregnancy. After my daughter was born I suffered from postpartum psychosis which brought along with it more meds and more fat. After 18 months of me being overweight and miserable, my oldest daughter suggested we take a mother daughter yoga class. From there I started doing pilates and then bodypump classes. Eventually I decided to hire a trainer and get some real work done.
What drives you to be so fit?
I realize that I will be a role model to my children whether I am fit or fat but I prefer showing them a happy healthy example. I am also so driven to continue inspiring all of the moms out there that are struggling to get their bodies and their lives back after pregnancy.

What has been the hardest obstacle for you to overcome?
The hardest obstacle to overcome was withdrawing from all of the medication and giving up drinking. I’ve realized that I have an addictive personality and that for the sake of my health and my family’s happiness I needed to find something positive to focus all of my energy on. So I guess you could say that I started self medicating with exercise and clean eating.
What are some staples in your diet?
I’m a huge proponent of the keto diet. When bulking I try to cycle my carbs and eat them before and after my workouts. Usually I try to get in about 6 servings of meat. I’ll throw in some cheese, dressing and veggies to meet the rest of my macros. I’ve found that the simpler I keep things the easier it is to track what I’m eating. When it comes to cutting I have found that a protein sparing modified fasts with refeeds on the weekends works best. During contest prep I have tons of chicken breasts, shrimp, white fish and protein shakes. Boring I know. But like “Chickentuna” says…”if you want an exciting body, you can’t eat exciting food.”
Do you take any supplements?
Yes. Right now I’m taking Speed V2 and lipotropic protein made my LG Sciences.
What is your favorite body part?
I love my delts. It’s the one part of my body that gets complimented the most.
If you could start back from the first day you started training would you do anything different?
Yes. I wish I knew how important it was to get in enough protein and calories to build muscle. I went into my first contest looking stringy and I’m hoping to avoid that in the future. I think I was operating under the mindset that I think most females have that I didn’t want to get big. I just wanted to be as thin as possible. I have now developed a true appreciation of just how hard it is to put on decent mass. And I think that big round muscles on females can be really beautiful.
Final advice for readers?
Realize that it is a marathon…not a sprint. You can’t expect to get muscular and shredded over night. It takes alot of planning, intensity and direction. You have to decide what you want to do. Set a course. Map it out and then live your life in a way that will make it happen.
Finally, we will leave you with this before and after picture, and a quote from Christina
“If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got.” That is so true. If what you’re doing isn’t working for you…find what does!

WOW you look great!…I just had our second baby and I aways thought after I was done having children I would get in great shape…having trouble getting the baby weight off. I just started P90X…and kinda doing the diet. I start out really good in the day then start to fall off, I do really good with breakfast, snack, lunch, and sometimes the next snack…and then I either skip dinner or have too much…I guess it’s just trying to change habits…any advice?
Thank You
